Senator Reid and Congressman Heller Show Support for Military Veterans and their Families

Today was a banner day for the Veterans Guest House. We were visited by our senior U.S. Senator Harry Reid. Senator Reid was very impressed with the House and was very complimentary about the House and the services that we provide. He also was very aware that it has been supported completely with private funds to date. He spoke about the House at the news conference. The Q&A session lasted about 20 minutes and many issues were addressed. Senator Reid was very supportive of finding funding to help the House.

Senator Reid was very supportive of finding funding to pay the mortgage and as he was leaving he turned to his aid and told her to start working on a way to pay off the mortgage.

We were also visited by our local Congressman Dean Heller who said, “This is a very impressive facility and you do great work here”.
